The hydraulic system of these crushers provides a powerful hydraulic cylinder that supports the main shaft (cone) and allows a precise gap setting as well as offering a safety protection against non-crushable items. In the event of a non-crushable item entering the crushing chamber the hydraulic pressure will spike and the control system will automatically open the crushing chamber allowing the foreign object to be released.
When the pressures inside the crushing chamber return to a normal level the crushing chamber will automatically close to the pre-set value and crushing will resume.
